Stereogum posted an mp3 mix for Memorial Day, and for the most part, it’s a pretty rawking sampling of new music.  A little lacking on diversity of sounds, but that’s how the indie-music world goes sometimes.

I put together my own mix for the weekend, which I’ve posted below. But because Windmills isn’t an mp3 blog (and because I’m feeling a bit lazy), you can’t download the tracks onto your computer in a convenient zip drive like you can with Stereogum’s. About half-way through, I also gave up limiting myself to the newest tunes/bands. I think the most honest mixed CDs assume a whole other type of timeliness anyway.

Obviously, it’s a little late to call this a Memorial Day mix. It’s more like a post-bbq digestion/sobering-up/back-to-the-grind mix. Whatever it is, enjoy.
